We prefer Buckhead and Midtown to remain in the City of Atlanta. Should Buckhead City vote to incorporate, we will enable Midtown and surrounding immediate neighborhoods to quickly take advantage of this emerging opportunity by creating another independent city to improve the lives and wellbeing of its residents.

Should Buckhead City vote to incorporate, we will enable Midtown and surrounding immediate neighborhoods to quickly take advantage of this emerging opportunity by creating another independent city to improve the lives and wellbeing of its residents.
We expect the reduced footprint of the City of Atlanta will not be viable and subject to the State of Georgia becoming engaged to run and or fund the city.

Current tasks include defining the preliminary boundaries of the potential new city within the existing City of Atlanta. At a minimum, we are considering to include the Midtown, Ansley Park, Piedmont Heights, Morningside and Virginia Highlands neighborhoods.

In parallel, we monitor the review and approval criteria for Buckhead City. If successful, we expect to leverage any precedents to enable our vote on the creation of a new city in Midtown.

As the Buckhead Coalition does not support the Buckhead City movement, we are also anticipating a negative response from the Midtown Alliance. However, have actively working behind the scenes with selected businesses and will share these organizations and our founding supporters at the appropriate time.

If the reality of this vision matures, we anticipate broader funded studies, promotional activities and greater corporate and individual support to make this vision a reality.
